My name is Robyn Strelitz and I’m here to help.
Are you struggling with transition, grieving a loss, or feeling overwhelmed with changes occurring in your life? Or are you feeling stuck and unsure how to go about making a change? Are you experiencing conflict or feeling disconnected from others and yourself?
I can help you define yourself and your relationships so you can better navigate life’s challenges, free yourself from problematic patterns, and make genuine connections.
Your Partner, Your Therapist, Your Therapy.
Are you looking for safe and productive therapy? I offer confidential, goal-oriented therapy. Therapy is a partnership, and I hope we can build an atmosphere of trust, openness, honesty, and safety. I encourage clients to ask questions, voice any concerns about the therapy process, and take each session as a step.
Coming to therapy is always a choice, and I want you to make that choice with as much knowledge as possible so you can decide for yourself if we are a good match. I hope you will learn about me on this site, but also in our first session and every session thereafter. I have been told that the biggest challenge in getting help is making that first call. This is your therapy, and I want it to help you define and reach your goals.
A Little Context.
I work with clients of all ages, including individuals, couples, and families, who have experienced a range of issues, including trauma, grief, chronic illness, and family conflict. I am a graduate of St. Edwards University with a Master’s of Arts in Counseling, and I work as a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist Associate at the Austin Family Institute. I am supervised by Dr. Michael Bishop and Dr. Mathis Kennington.
I pursued my career as a therapist after years of experience as an attorney and mediator specializing in family law. I was born in South Africa, immigrated to Texas as a young child, and came to Austin in 1993 for my undergraduate studies at the University of Texas. I attended the University of Texas School of Law and during this time served UT’s Domestic Violence and Mediation Clinics.
I look forward to meeting you and working with you to define and reach your goals.
